1,2,3…
April 4th, in the 7th district precinct, a pig killed himself. The second, another pig, in Denain (59), also ended his days. The same day, in Saint-Germain-Laxis (77), the same story: this time around it is top cop Noël Rabin’s turn to free the world of his presence. We’ll be looking forward to more news in the coming days… Meanwhile, you can easily enough snatch some champagne from the Couronne Monoprix. [Monoprix is a bourgeois supermarket in the poor neighborhoodof Belleville/Couronnes]

Fire to the court!
During the night on Monday, April 8th, someone set fire to the Commercial Court of Beauvais. A window pane was broken and an incendiary device was thrown inside. Unfortunately, the court continues its activity, although some records have gone up in smoke.

Vinci architect forced to go green.
At the end of March, Jacques Ferrier, an architect chosen by the Vinci group to participate in the development of the new airport planned in Notre-Dame-des-Landes, near Nantes–”one of the architects most engaged in sustainable development,” according to the proponents of this new pile of concrete–found his office (77 rue Pascal, Paris 13th) painted with fire extinguishers. Fuck the guards’ unions!

Your teargas hurts, huh?
On March 8th, around forty young troublemakers broke into the McDonald’s in the Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines shopping mall. The pigs intervened but a few minutes later, a new confrontation broke out in front of a store. According to the pigs, “One of the youth threw a security guard against her car as she was handcuffing another suspect. It was then that the one who had managed to free himself punched the tear gas canister held by another officer.” The canister then exploded in the pig’s face; she received serious burns to her face and eyes.

Clippings

January 14th: No power for the bougie! In the night, a fire broke out in an ERDF [the public electrical company of France] office in Levallois-Perret and knocked out power to 70,000 households in Levallois and Neuilly.

February 14th: Because of a transformer accident, a part of the neighborhood Chaperon Vert, in Acrueil, was without power for around 24 hours. Same as above.

February 24th: The burning of an electrical system along line U (La Verrière-La Défense) of the Transilien [suburban rail service] completely blocked the passage of trains. A switch box and a computer that control the lights, switches, and security system were burned. Today, not a puff! And tomorrow, the bus…or not?

March 4th: Again in Acrueil: One block was left without electricity due to a burned underground cable.

March 5th: Créteil and the surrounding area: Around 60,000 EDF customers were without electricity for one hour. A short-circuit on an extremely high voltage line buried in the ground, probably from being struck during an excavation at a construction site. The electricity is provided by connecting the network to another THT [high tension] line.
